To prepare your golf bag for a day out on the fairways, you need several items in addition to clubs, balls, and tees. Pack a towel to keep your golf clubs and golf balls clean and dry.

A divot tool, coins or ball markers, and an extra glove should also be included in your golf bag. If you're serious about your game, you may also want to pack a rangefinder to ensure that your shots are zeroed in.

The list of things you might not think to pack in your bag includes sunscreen, a rain jacket, and a pair of sunglasses. Some golfers also suggest that you carry a protective pouch for safely storing watches and other jewelry items while you're out enjoying the game.

Stony Brook University Announces Millions of Dollars in Upgrades

For more than three decades, Richard Nasti has served as the executive vice president of H.J. Kalikow & Company in New York City. In this role, Mr. Nasti oversees all aspects of the firm's real estate, construction, and property development and management activities. A graduate of Stony Brook University, Richard Nasti also serves on the board of trustees of his alma mater's foundation.

In a recently released statement, Stony Brook University announced that the college is making $79 million in energy-efficiency upgrades throughout the campus in New York City. The energy-saving measures will focus on lighting, ventilation systems, and building management practices in residence halls, science buildings, and the Stony Brook University Hospital.

When complete, Stony Brook's upgrades will save the school more than $6 million each year in energy and maintenance costs. The improvements will also cut the University's annual greenhouse gas emissions by 28,000 tons. Past energy efficiency upgrades at Stony Brook have already saved the school millions of dollars while significantly reducing its carbon footprint. 

In upgrading its campus facilities, Stony Brook University is partnering with the New York Power Authority, which is working under New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's “Reforming the Energy Vision” initiative. The program aims to lessen New York's environmental impact while improving the state's economy.
